Jack Morrison ran for mayor of San Francisco in 1967 on a progressive ticket but lost to Joseph Alioto.

A national hero of Jamaica, Marcus Garvey advanced a Pan-African philosophy to inspire a global mass movement focusing on Africa known as Garveyism. Promoted by the UNIA as a movement of African Redemption, Garveyism would eventually inspire others, ranging from the Nation of Islam, to the Rastafari movement (which proclaims Garvey as a prophet). The intention of the movement was for those of African ancestry to "redeem" Africa and for the European colonial powers to leave it.

This great shot of the powerful revolutionary Black Panther leader Malcolm X was made into a poster at the time but this copy is probably an early bootleg as there is no copyright info printed on the poster itself. It is in mint condition. *Sorry about the bad pic. I'm going to take another pic of it soon!
